What type of video cable short term?
We need to play the video from one building to another, several hundred feet. What is the best type of cable to run, and this type of booster / amplifier do we need? The signal from a video camera nothing of the ordinary. The cable will be mostly indoors, except for about 50 feet between buildings where it will be launched under the roof of a breezeway. Will this work for CAT5?
Use a balun! These devices convert video and audio so that it can be sent using Cat 5. The one in this link can send component video. It's good for about 1000 feet. Thus, your hundreds should be good.
